Lanificio Bisentino is a historic company in the Prato district, whose strength is dynamism.
The brothers Guglielmo and Mario Gramigni founded the company, together with their brother-in-law Ruggero Nincheri. The years after the war were certainly difficult, but they offered great opportunities to those who knew how to stay on the market.
At the beginning the company specialized in the production of plaids and blankets, however during the 1960s it began producing fabrics for fashion, a production that continues today.
In the 1980s the founders left the helm to Giampiero, Paolo and Andrea Gramigni, who continued to grow the Bisentino Wool Mill, reaching new and unexpected goals, such as the birth of the ElleBi accessories division, now Manifattura BiG.
In 2010 the company moved to the Comeana area, close to the Prato district but in the middle of the Tuscan countryside and the Carmignano vineyards: a choice made to have new spaces available and a completely new mission, even more sensitive to human and environmental needs, always trying to look to the future.
In line with the continuous search for freshness and contemporaneity, today the Lanificio is led by a young team, the third generation of a company history spanning over 75 years. Giovanni, Guido and Giuditta have different training paths, but have found in the company the perfect synthesis of their professional project.
This makes Lanificio Bisentino unique: a long tradition combined with a modern mix of energy, resources and skills to build a rich future every day for the company, its employees, its partners, its customers.
